Sunday morning’s special event on October 26 follows the beloved “Cinema for Breakfast” format, offering breakfast to all attendees followed by a film screening.
Afterward, there will be a tribute to Gene Hackman, the focus of the retrospective, with the screening of The French Connection (1971), a masterpiece directed by William Friedkin. This event is the result of a collaboration between the newly founded Cineclub Deserto Rosso and the NOAM Festival, dedicated to promoting American and North American cinema. Though young, NOAM has already been recognized by the Emilia-Romagna Region.
The NOAM Faenza Film Festival was established in 2023 by the association Filmeeting APS. It is the first event in Italy aimed at promoting North American cinema and culture, with a special focus on independent productions. The third edition (2025) will once again host guests and films from the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
