Ada and her partner Rino move to a villa surrounded by nature. Pregnant with their second child, Ada, as the birth approaches, begins to relive the pain of the premature loss of her firstborn. Although she pretends to be fine, in reality she has not yet come to terms with her grief and is beginning to believe that her son has returned from the afterlife to prevent his brother's birth. Is this really happening, or is Ada losing her mind?
Mara Fondacaro was born in Naples on September 23, 1994. She studied Photography – Cinema and Television at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples and began working on film sets as an assistant director. In 2021, she graduated from the screenwriting program at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. In 2022, she took part in the Berlin International Film Festival as the screenwriter of the short film Le variabili dipendenti, which went on to win the David di Donatello for Best Short Film in 2023. She currently has several feature films in development and pre-production with production companies such as Nightswim, Rosamont, and Panama Film. She is now in post-production on Il primo figlio, her directorial debut, which earned her the SIAE Cinema Award for Best Screenplay at the 18th edition of the Rome Film Festival.
