A fugitive assassin finds refuge in the secluded home of two seductive young sisters, one of whom, however, is not what she seems. What he thought was a safe haven will turn the hunter into the hunted. Ettore, a lethal hired assassin, is consumed by the guilt of killing an innocent girl, which haunts him through horrific hallucinations, produced by the early symptoms of schizophrenia. Tormented, he decides to retire, but Claudio, the Manager, refuses to let him leave his organization alive. Severely wounded in an ambush, Ettore finds refuge in the forest home of two mysterious sisters, Betta and Sara. Searching for the missing hitman, Claudio contacts Musolino, a corrupt policeman. As Ettore's sinister visions intensify to the point of questioning reality itself, his attraction to the strange young Sara grows increasingly disturbing until the sisters reveal their chilling truth. The girls are two ruthless serial killers, led by Sara, a ghost who, even in death, remains bloodthirsty. Caught between the desire for atonement and the lust for murder, Ettore struggles to escape an epilogue of unstoppable violence.
