OK/NOTOK is a genre-bending love story set in the very near future with a darkly comic edge. Loretta, a working-class British Asian woman, attempts to navigate a turbulent world, a new stranger in her life and unskippable adverts.
Pardeep Sahota is a three-time Clio award-winning writer/director. In 2022 he won the British Arrows - Emerging Talent - Gold Award. His passion has always been storytelling and film, which started by making short films on his father’s VHS camera. In 2020, his award-winning short film series Bleeding Art, was Official Selection at Slamdance Film Festival. He was the recipient of the B3 Media’s Associate Artist Award 2021. In 2023 he was invited to join BAFTA. His current multi award-winning film OK/NOTOK is on the festival circuit and Academy Award Winner Robert Elswit has described it as “Fantastic…Impressive…Wonderfully inventive and emotionally compelling storytelling”.
